Surgieron entonces los Festivales Comunitarios por la vida realizados anualmente, como espacios de encuentro a través de actividades culturales, deportivas, educativas, recreativas y de reflexión temática; de igual forma se organizaron y llevaron a cabo marchas por el derecho a la vida y la reivindicación de los derechos humanos, en diferentes espacios de la ciudad. Entre las organizaciones comunitarias se cuentan la Corporación Convivamos, Corporación para el Desarrollo Picacho con Futuro, Red Juvenil, Corporación Semillas de Esperanza y FEPI, entre otras.
